If you are currently a Grade 8 or Grade 9 student who dreams of working in the baking industry, this exciting program is for you! Earn 4 credits in Hospitality and Tourism with a specialized focus on baking鈥攎eeting both Tech and STEM graduation requirements.聽
The Regional Bakery School program is hosted at Fr. Michael Goetz Catholic Secondary School. As part of the program, there are 4 Bakery School courses, one per semester, starting in second semester of Grade 10, designed to build your baking skills step-by-step. In the 2nd semester of Grade 12, you have the opportunity to gain real-world experience through co-op placements in the baking field, with potential Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) opportunities and more.
