The Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) is an advisory committee mandated by the Ministry of Education to advise the Board on matters related to students with diverse learning needs, including special education needs.

SEAC is composed of representatives from local associations, the school board, Indigenous representatives, and may include additional members who do not belong to any of these groups.

SEAC has a longstanding role in supporting students with special education needs and aligns with the Board's mission to provide a holistic Catholic education in unity with families and the Church. This mission guides SEAC's contributions to Board initiatives, including the (2023 Ä¢¹½´«Ã½-27) and the Ìýgoals. As required by the Special Education Plan Standard, the Board reports on SEAC operations to the Ministry of Education and ensures public access to relevant information.

SEAC meets monthly, offering stakeholders opportunities for input. It maintains a reciprocal sharing and reporting structure with theÌýCentral Committee for Catholic School Councils (CCCSC)Ìýto enhance collaboration.

Monthly Community Association Reports highlight successes, challenges, and solutions. Each SEAC member contributes a unique perspective, fostering continuous improvement through shared responsibility and goal setting.
