Program Information

Get Ready for Secondary School is a summer program designed to welcome our Grade 9 students and support them as they transition from elementary to secondary school. This program is unique to DPCDSB and blends literacy and numeracy focused instruction with secondary school readiness activities.

Get Ready for Secondary School allows students entering Grade 9 to get to know their secondary school, future teachers and peers before beginning classes in September.

  • Fun and interactive orientation to the explore their school layout, schedules, and routines
  • Review of key concepts in literacy, numeracy and learning strategies

This program is offered at all DPCDSB secondary schools.
